Niru K. Nahar received B.Sc.(honors) in physics from the Dhaka University, Bangladesh. She received MS degree in physics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA. She worked as a graduate research intern at Osram Sylvania Inc., Chemical and Metallurgical Division, in the Surface Analysis Laboratory. She received her MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2002 and 2008, respectively. Currently, she is a Post-Doctoral researcher at ElectroScience Laboratory. Dr. Nahar is a member of IEEE and IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society.
Dr. Nahar's current Optical Engineering research interests include combined RF & Optical sensing, photonic crystal fibers, free-space optics, optical true time delay engine, and antenna array beam steering. Her Optometry and Vision Science research interests include objective measures of eyestrain and progressive additional lenses.
