ESL Students Take the 2nd and 3rd Place in the 2016 ECE Poster Competition

15 ECE sraduate students competed at the 2016 Kraus Memorial Poster Competition for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and received $500, $300 and $100 monetary prizes respectively. The competition took place at the Dreese Labs on Thursday, April 21, 2016.  ESL graduate students claimed the second and third places in the poster competion. Congratulations to Matthew and Luke for representing ESL successfully at the competition.

Award Recipients:

  • In 3rd place and winner of $100 – Matt Buchanan (advised by Inder "Jiti' Gupta), “Design of a Ground-Based Beacon Signal for Calibration of Spaceborne GNSS Remote Sensing Instruments”
  • In 2nd place and winner of $300 – Luke Duncan (advised by Waleed Khalil), “A DC-21 GHz Radio-Frequency Digial-to-Analog Convert for Direct RF Synthesis”
  • In 1st place and winner of $500 – Dan Chmielewski (advised by Steven Ringel), “III-V/Active-Si Integration for Low-Cost High-Performance Concentrator Photovoltaics”
