The College of Engineering at The Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Director of the ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL).  Over the course of its nearly 75-year history, ESL has been led by distinguished faculty and researchers, all recognized as worldwide experts in their area.  We welcome outstanding applicants whose leadership skills align with or complement the research strengths of ESL, as well as candidates who can lead the laboratory in expanding its research breadth.

Overview of ElectroScience Laboratory

ESL houses the largest academic chamber and the finest range in the world, operating from 400 mHz up to 100 Ghz,

ESL is a premier center in the College of Engineering and one of the largest radio frequency and optics research laboratories in the world. Since 1942, ESL has consistently maintained a national and international preeminence in electromagnetics, influencing radio research like no other institution in the world.

Faculty, research scientists, and students at ESL are involved in all aspects of wireless communications and electro-optics including remote sensing, radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits, terahertz, millimeter waves, optics, photonics and textile antennas.

ESL employs more than 150 people including faculty, researchers, graduate students, and staff, and encompasses 60,000 square feet of laboratory and workspace, including state-of-the-art measurement and computational facilities.
