On May 9th, 2006, The Ohio State University ElectroScience Laboratory and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering held an awards reception to recognize the acheivements of several distinguished alumni. The event was attended by more than 40 faculty, researchers, alumni, and staff as they came together to celebrate the pre-eminent work of four ElectroScience Laboratory alumni.
The ElectroScience Laboratory Distinguished Alumni Award was introduced in 2003 to honor the outstanding achievements of then OSU-ESL alumni.

for their outstanding engineering and scientific contributions, and entrepreneurship.
