Abstract
The last two decades have seen significant development in biomedical applications due to major healthcare initiatives and impressive technological achievements. This talk will present an overview of relevant research projects at the Assistive Research (ATR) Center. The presentation will address medical imaging (wireless endoscopy, brain surgery, brain aging), wearable health monitoring for prognosis, smart homes and robotic nurses for the elderly, and wearable devices for the visually impaired (reading and navigation). Additional research relating to health information exchange protection, cell monitoring, and DNA representation will be briefly mentioned as well.
