Ramandeep Vilkhu, who is also a recipient of the IEEE MTT-S Undergraduate Scholarship, receives Student Poster Award with other 21 of his peers among 107 applicants.

We congratulate Ramandeep, an ESL undergraduate student advised by Professor Asimina Kiourti, for receiving a Student Poster Award for his poster presentation on the "Powering of Wearable Sensors via Fabric Electrochemistry" at the 2017 OSU Materials Week. The work is a collaboration between ESL, ECE and the Depts. of Chemistry (Prof. Anne Co) and Surgery (Prof. Chandan Sen).

Hosted by the Institute for Materials Research, the 9th annual showcase of materials-allied research at The Ohio State University was held on May 9-12, 2017 at the Blackwell Inn and Conference Center. Materials week provided an opportunity for the community to gather to listen to and participate in a keynote address by Ayodhya N. Tiwari on "Solar Electricity: Advancements and Opportunities with Innovative Emerging Technologies", two cross cutting sessions, six focus sessions, three-minute thesis competition, and two student poster sessions. This year the organizers received a total of 114 posters registrations with 107 eligible to be judged. With a record number of posters tied for the highest scores 22 students received Poster Awards.
