Ushe Takes One of the Top Awards at the Poster Competition
Over a dozen ECE graduate students competed at the 2017 Kraus Memorial Poster Competition for the top three spots on April 20, 2017. The competition took place at the ElectroScience Laboratory Atrium and attracted Engineering students, faculty and researchers. ESL graduate student Ushemadzoro (Ushe) Chipengo received the third place for his research, "Novel Concepts for Slow Wave Structures used in High Power Backward Wave Oscillators." The work resolves to significantly improve the performance of high power microwave sources. Ushe is advised by Professors Niru Nahar and John Volakis.
