Open Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The Ohio State University and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are inviting applications for a tenure track faculty position in applied electromagnetics to support the priorities of the ElectroScience Laboratory, a major center of excellence in the College of Engineering. We are interested in a broad pool of applicants with research interests and expertise in millimeter-wave circuits and systems, optics and photonics, technologies for quantum information science and engineering, adaptive antennas and array signal processing, mixed-signal microelectronics, or other areas of applied electromagnetics.

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Develop a vigorous externally funded research program, as evidenced by grants and awards from a variety of funding agencies;
  • Develop excellence and leadership in both scholarly and professional activities, as evidenced by a strong record of publications and service in technical societies;
  • Develop outstanding instructional skills in the classroom at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as evidenced by curricular development, awards for teaching, and teaching innovations; and
  • Develop leadership in or contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion, as evidenced by a record of instructing, advising, mentoring, and impacting students of all backgrounds, including students from underrepresented minorities.

While the search is focused on assistant professor positions, outstanding candidates at the associate level will also be considered.
