Smith, Shane

Biography

Dale Shane Smith earned his B.S. (2005), M.S. (2011), and Ph.D. (2013) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University. He was a design engineer from 1999-2016 at the Department of Physics at the Ohio State University where he developed and maintained electronic systems for high energy physics experiments. His work covered a range of activities including the design and development of radiation hard mixed signal ASICs, FPGA based data acquisition systems, medical imaging electronics, chemical vapor deposition diamond detectors, and high voltage power supply systems. Dr. Smith is currently a Research Scientist at the Ohio State University ElectroscienceLab.
