ESL Faculty and Students Receive DAGSI Fellowships

3 teams of ESL/ECE faculty and students received an award from the AFRL/DAGSI Ohio Student-Faculty Research Fellowship program. 

  • Adam Kimura and Steven Bibyk (OSU), sponsor Castro: "Developing a Hardware Vulnerability Taxonomy and Fault Scoring System Framework for the Advancement of Trust Metrics" (Ph.D.)
  • Jeffrey Kula and John Volakis (OSU), sponsor Minges. "Reconfigurable Band Rejection and Bandpass Frequency Selective Structures (Ph.D.)
  • Jonathan Thews and Ronald Reano (OSU), sponsor Devgan: Investigation of RF Photonics for Advanced Signal Processing (MS).

These projects involve basic research in the topics provided by the ARFL Directorates, headquarted at Wright-PAterson AFB, Ohio. The fellowship term is one year and each student is required to spend a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks conducting research at Wright-Patterson, AFB. The expectation is that the research will be the basis for most if not all students’ M.S. or Ph.D. dissertations.
