ECE's First Alumni Networking Event was Held at ESL

ECE's first Meetup Networking Event was held at the ElectroScience Laboratory on Thursday, November 6 between 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The ECE alumni, who ranged from current faculty members to graduates from 1981, came together at ESL to network with each other and also to hear from ECE Department Chair, Prof. Joel Johnson about latest research and department accomplishments. The alumni had also an opportunity to discuss latest technology trends with ESL's Director, Prof. John Volakis and graduate students. The participants also toured ESL's state-of-the-art facility and learned about the research performed on THz imaging, tracking tagged items using radio waves, bio-inspired cognitive concepts applied on radars and antennas, antennas sawn on fabric, radar scattering characteristics and planar lightwave circuits. 

The Engineering Alumni Meetup group plans to hold its series of networking events every 3-4 months.
